Most pages answering this question hand you a shortlist of five or six brands and call them the new crypto casinos. The registers give a different answer. The Anjouan Gaming Authority issued 434 new gambling licences between 1 January and 12 August 2026 — roughly two every working day. Whatever list you are reading was assembled from the handful of those that bought advertising.
This page works from the licence registers instead: how many new operators there actually are, what they look like on paper, which of the brands aimed at UK players are genuinely recent, and why the founding date printed on a casino homepage is not evidence of anything.
Everything below was read on 21 August 2026 from two public documents: the Anjouan licence register and the Curaçao online gaming register dated 20 August 2026. Both are linked on the sources page, and both can be checked against what is written here.
How many new crypto casinos there really are

Two things follow from that table. The first is that “new crypto casino” is not a category of five brands, it is a production line running at about fifty-seven licences a month. The second is that no shortlist anywhere — including any we could write — is a survey of the new casinos. It is a survey of the ones somebody chose to write about.
What a brand-new licensee actually looks like on paper
The register prints the licence holder’s company name and the domains the licence covers. Of the 434 issued in 2026:

A third of this year’s new licensees have no name — only a Costa Rican company registration number. That is not a paperwork quirk. It means the entity you would be contracting with, and complaining to, has no identity beyond a number in a foreign registry, and it was set up recently enough that there is nothing to look up about it.
The forty licences with no domain listed are the clearest signal of how this market works. The licence is obtained first and the casino is built afterwards — sometimes months afterwards, sometimes never. A licence number on a new site therefore proves the operator paid a fee, not that anyone has looked at the site.
Why “licensed since 2025” tells you nothing
The Curaçao register also prints an issue date, and it is routinely quoted as though it showed when a casino started. It does not. 164 of the 643 licences in that register carry the same issue date: 24 December 2025. Another 60 share 24 June 2025.
Those are bulk re-registration dates from Curaçao’s move to a new licensing regime, applied to operators that had been trading for years. BitStarz has been running since long before December 2025; its current licence says 24 December 2025 because everyone’s does. The date in that column is the date the paperwork was reissued, not the date the casino opened.
The Anjouan register is more useful precisely because its dates are spread out — they are genuine first-issue dates. It is the closest thing to a verifiable answer to “how new is this operator”, and it is the basis for the table below.
Which of the twenty brands are genuinely recent
These are the brands covered across this site whose licences appear in the Anjouan register, ordered by the date the register says the licence was issued. Everything here is a register entry, not a claim from a casino’s about page.

Two entries in that table deserve reading twice. Metaspins holds the newest licence of any brand we cover — issued in June 2026, to a company with no name. And TrustDice and Roobet appear in Anjouan under companies that are not the ones named in their own published terms, which still cite Curaçao licences. The “new” casino that is a sister of an old one
A licence covering twenty domains is one operator running twenty casinos. Anyone searching for something new is very likely to land on a brand that is new only in the sense that the marketing is.
The clearest example in our own set is Lucky Block. Its licence, ALSI-142311005-FI2 held by Igloo Ventures SRL, carries twenty-two casino domains:

Mega Dice is frequently listed as a new crypto casino separately from Lucky Block. They are the same licence, the same company, and — if one of them declines your withdrawal — the same people reviewing the decision.
The 2026 intake contains larger versions of the same pattern. Four licences issued this year carry between seventeen and forty-two domains each:

Between them, four companies licensed this year operate 113 casino brands. Every one of those brands is, technically, a new crypto casino.
What this means if you are playing from the UK
None of the 434 operators licensed in Anjouan this year holds a British licence. Neither does any of the twenty brands we cover: the Gambling Commission’s public register does not list a single one of them. That has three consequences a new brand cannot mitigate with a bonus.
- No dispute route with any standing in Britain. A complaint goes to the operator, then to a regulator in Anjouan or Curaçao. Neither has jurisdiction over anything you can enforce from the UK.
- GAMSTOP does not apply. Self-exclusion through GAMSTOP covers every British-licensed operator at once. Offshore casinos are not part of it, and a brand licensed three weeks ago is not going to be the exception.

There is also a specific problem with newness itself. Nine of the twenty established brands we examined name the United Kingdom in a restricted-countries clause, and one extends that restriction to the act of requesting a withdrawal. A casino licensed this year has usually not settled its position on the UK at all — which means the answer can change between your deposit and your withdrawal, and the terms permit exactly that. Several sets of terms we read reserve the right to amend them “with or without notice at any time”.
Checking a new crypto casino in ten minutes
This is the sequence we use, and every step is something you can do from a phone before depositing anything.
- Find the licence number in the site footer. If there is a seal but no number, stop — a seal is an image file.
- Search the number in the register itself, not on the casino’s page: the Anjouan register or the Curaçao PDF. If the number is not there, nothing else on the site is worth reading.
- Check the domain, not just the company. The Anjouan register lists the domains each licence covers. A company holding a licence for other sites is not a licence for the one you are on — we found exactly that case with Betpanda.
- Look at how many domains share the licence. Twenty means you are dealing with an operator running twenty brands, and the “new” one is a skin.
- Read the restricted-countries clause before depositing, not after. Search the terms for “United Kingdom” and for “Great Britain” — some documents use only one of the two.
- Read the withdrawal section for weekly and monthly caps. A cap of a fraction of a bitcoin a week decides how long it takes to get a win out, regardless of payout-speed claims.
- Ignore the founding year on the about page. It is unsourced, and the register date will not confirm it either way, for the reasons set out above.
Questions people ask about new crypto casinos
Are new crypto casinos more dangerous than established ones?
They carry one extra risk and share every other one. The extra risk is the absence of any track record: with a brand licensed this year there is nothing to look up, no history of paid or refused withdrawals, and often no named company. The shared risks — no British licence, no GAMSTOP, no enforceable dispute route — apply identically to a casino that has been running for a decade.
What is genuinely different is the concentration of unknowns. Of the 434 operators licensed in Anjouan this year, 150 have no trading name and 40 had no website when the licence was granted.
Do new crypto casinos really give bigger bonuses?
Often, and it makes little difference. The headline percentage is the least informative figure in any offer: what decides its value is the wagering multiple, the maximum bet permitted while clearing it, and the cap on what can be withdrawn at the end. Will a new crypto casino accept UK players?
There is no rule, and that is the problem. A new operator frequently has not decided, which is not the same as having decided yes. The document that governs it is the restricted-countries clause in the terms, and it can be rewritten without notice. Check it immediately before depositing, and check it again before withdrawing.
How can I tell whether a “new” casino is actually new?
Find its licence in the Anjouan register and read the issue date — those dates are genuine and spread across the calendar. Do not use the Curaçao issue date for this: 164 licences in that register share a single date, 24 December 2025, because the whole register was reissued at once.
Is a licence from Anjouan or Curaçao worth anything?
It is worth more than nothing and much less than a British licence. Both are real registers you can search, and a number that checks out beats a seal that does not — we found two brands operating with no gaming licence at all. What neither gives you is a complaints process with standing in the UK, any protection for your balance if the operator fails, or a cap on wagering requirements.

- Whether the register is complete or current. The Anjouan register marks all 1,491 of its entries “valid”, including 290 whose printed expiry date has already passed. We read the expiry column rather than the status column, and so should you.
