A crypto casino bonus is not money. It is a set of conditions attached to a number, and the conditions are where the value goes. This page sets out what those conditions actually say at the casinos UK players are most often sent to — the wagering multiple, the maximum bet allowed while you clear it, the cap on what you can withdraw at the end, and how long you have.
Britain has a number to compare against. Since 19 January 2026 the Gambling Commission’s licence conditions have forbidden a British-licensed operator to:
“Apply wagering requirements, which requires a customer to play through bonus funds, over a maximum of 10 times.”
LCCP social responsibility code 5.1.1
Ten times is the legal ceiling in the UK market. Every offshore bonus whose terms we could read sits between 35 and 50 times — three to five times a figure that a British licence would not permit. That is the whole comparison, and it does not depend on anyone’s opinion of which casino is generous.
The same rule bans mixing product types in one incentive — the familiar offshore “free spins plus a sports bonus” package could not be offered in Britain. And an earlier intervention by the Competition and Markets Authority in 2018 established that operators cannot make you play through your own deposit before withdrawing it, and cannot rely on vague terms to confiscate players’ money. Both of those protections stop at the UK border.
Before comparing any of these offers, check whether the casino will pay a UK player at all. Nine of the twenty brands we examined name the United Kingdom in a restricted-countries clause we read in full, and one of them extends the restriction to the act of requesting a withdrawal. A bonus at a site that will not process your payout is worth nothing regardless of its wagering requirement. The list of twenty and their clauses is on the home page.
The arithmetic nobody prints next to the offer
A 150% match and 100 free spins
Vave adds 150% up to 1.5 BTC to the first crypto deposit and throws in 100 free spins. Deposits are credited on the first network confirmation.
Get 150% up to 1.5 BTCThree numbers decide what a bonus is worth: the bonus amount B, the wagering multiple W, and the maximum bet M you are allowed while clearing it. Turnover required is B × W. Minimum number of spins is B × W ÷ M.
Wild.io puts the first half of that calculation in its own terms:
“If a player received 10 mBTC bonus with a 40x wagering requirement he will need to wager 400 mBTC before any winnings and the bonus will become part of the real money balance.”
Wild.io terms, clause 10.2
What Wild.io does not put next to it is the second half. The same terms cap your bet at 0.000045 BTC or 5 USDT while a bonus is active. At 5 USDT a spin, turning over the equivalent of 400 mBTC means several thousand spins — and every one of them is played at a house edge. The bonus does not shorten that; the wagering requirement is what makes it long.
The Competition and Markets Authority made the same point in 2018 with a British example: deposit £20, receive £20 “free”, and discover you must stake at least £800 before withdrawing anything. That practice is what the 10× cap was written to end — in Britain.
Bonus terms at eleven casinos, from their own documents
Read the max-bet column together with the wagering column. A 40× requirement with a £5 ceiling on each bet is a different proposition from 40× with no ceiling, and only one of those two is ever advertised.
| Casino | Wagering | Max bet while wagering | Cap on no-deposit winnings | Bonus expiry | Game weighting |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BitStarz | 40× all bonuses | 5 EUR / 0.00006 BTC | 100 EUR / 0.00129 BTC | Welcome 7 days, everything else 24 hours | Table, live, instant win, lottery, bingo 5% |
| 7BitCasino | 35× welcome, 40× free chips | 16 μBTC per spin | 0.8 mBTC from registration spins | 14 days; some bonuses 1 day after activation | Varies by game, not stated in full |
| KatsuBet | 50× no-deposit spins, 15× free chips | 0.00007 BTC | 0.0014 BTC from bonus free spins | Forfeited on expiry | Slots 100%, all other games 5% |
| Wild.io | Per promotion; 40× in their own worked example | 0.000045 BTC / 5 USDT | 50 USDT from any no-deposit bonus | Welcome 7 days, everything else 24 hours | Some games contribute 0% |
| Metaspins | Minimum 1× unless the promotion says otherwise | 5 USDT per spin or round | Not stated | Not stated | Crash games excluded after free spins |
| Cloudbet | Set per promotion | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | Slots 100%, live and table 10% |
| Bitz | 1× crypto deposits, 3× live games and fiat | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | Low-risk roulette bets excluded |
| TrustDice | 5× your deposit before any withdrawal | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | Cashed-out bets do not count |
| Lucky Block | Released in tenths: 10% of the bonus per 6× deposit wagered | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated |
| mBit Casino, Mirax | Bonus terms would not open | — | — | — | — |
Two entries in that table are worth a second look for the opposite reason to the rest. Bitz sets its deposit wagering at 1× for crypto and TrustDice at 5× — both below the British legal ceiling of 10×, and both far below the 35×–50× charged by the brands with the loudest welcome offers. Bitz is also the only brand in our set whose restricted-countries clause we read in full and which does not name the United Kingdom.
The confiscation clause that appears twice, word for word
BitStarz and Wild.io are marketed as different casinos by different companies under different licences. Their bonus-abuse clauses are the same paragraph with the names swapped.
“Should the Casino become aware of any user who has accepted the bonus or a promotion with sole purpose of creating a positive expected value on bonus return by using known practices aimed at securing a cash out of said bonus … then BitStarz will enforce immediate confiscation of winnings and closure of the account with the right to withhold any further withdrawals.”
BitStarz terms
“Should Wild.io become aware of any user who has accepted the bonus or a promotion with the sole purpose of creating a positive expected value on bonus return by using known practices aimed at securing cash out of said bonus … then Wild.io will enforce immediate confiscation of winnings and closure of the account with the right to withhold any further withdrawals.”
Wild.io terms, clause 11.1
The clause that follows — defining “advantage play” as delaying a game round until after your wagering is complete — is identical at both, and appears in near-identical wording at 7BitCasino and Cloudbet as well. This is shared boilerplate circulating between offshore operators, not four independent legal positions.
Why it matters in Britain: the CMA established in 2018 that a UK operator cannot rely on vague terms to confiscate players’ money. “Creating a positive expected value on bonus return” is exactly the kind of open-ended ground that reasoning was aimed at. Offshore, nothing prevents its use.
The three kinds of offer, in detail
The conditions differ enough between offer types that they are worth separating. Each of these pages carries the same treatment as the table above: quoted clauses, real numbers, and a blank where the document could not be read.
| Offer type | The condition that decides its value | Full breakdown |
|---|---|---|
| No-deposit bonus | The cap on winnings. At BitStarz it is 100 EUR no matter how much you turn over. | No-deposit bonuses for UK players |
| Welcome package | The wagering multiple and the maximum bet allowed while clearing it. | Welcome bonuses, term by term |
| Free spins | The wagering attached to the winnings, and the single game they are locked to. | Free spins and what clears them |
What we cannot tell you
- Whether these offers will still exist when you read this. Every set of bonus terms we read reserves the right to change or cancel promotions at will; one reserves it “with or without notice at any time”.
- What happens in practice when a withdrawal is audited. We have not deposited real money at any of these casinos. Every clause quoted here is what the operator has written down, which is not the same as what it does.
- mBit Casino and Mirax. Their bonus-terms pages return a casino lobby instead of the document. We have left their rows blank rather than borrowing numbers from a review site.
